Churches in the archdiocese of Colombo is to observe 'Black Sunday' on March 7 where silent protests will be held in the churches of Colombo, Gampaha and Kalutara Districts, calling the authorities to penalize those who are responsible for the Easter Sunday attacks.
It was announced in churches yesterday about the move where a request was made from the devotees to come to church on March 7 wearing black.
Head of the Social Relations Unit of the Archdiocese of Colombo Rev. Fr. Jude Crishantha who commented on the matter said Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith will issue a special statement in this regard within the next few days. (Daily Mirror)
