The Kadirgamar case is over!

The case of the assassination of former Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar has been concluded by the High Court.

The reason behind this is the death of Muttiah Sabhadevan, a former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) member who was arrested in connection with the murder of Kadirgamar on June 22 at the Colombo National Hospital.

On May 30, he was admitted to the National Hospital due to kidney disease and was 62 years old at the time of his death.

There were 45 witnesses in the case and this was heard in the High Court under Case No. HC 42/26/2008.

Former Sri Lanka Foreign Minister Lakshman Kadirgamar was assassinated by a LTTE sniper gunman at his residence in Colombo 07 on August 12, 2005.
