The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has decided to expel its MP A. H. M. Fowzie from the party, SLFP Spokesman and MP Weerakumara Dissanayake said yesterday.
He said a disciplinary committee appointed by the party and comprising of lawyers probed the matter of MP Fowzie supporting the United National Party (UNP).
“This committee came to a conclusion that MP Fowzie should be removed from the party and we will convey this to Parliament Secretary General tomorrow,” he said.
