A shooting incident had taken place involving the security of former Minister S.B Dissanayake in Ginigathhena, Polpitiya late last evening.
The Police said that two people were injured in the shooting incident.
It was reported that the two people were shot when they had allegedly obstructed the convoy of the former Minister.
The two injured people were admitted to hospital for treatment.
