The 62nd commemoration of the late S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike will not be held on Sep. 26 this year, in the wake of Covid-19, Ms. Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga and her elder sister - Sunethra Bandaranaike says.
However, they say that anyone who wishes to pay tribute to the late S.W.R.D. Bandaranaike, Sirimavo Bandaranaike and Anura Bandaranaike, are welcome to do so at the Bandaranaike memorial in Horagolla, following health guidelines.
The Bandaranaike commemoration has been held for 60 years since 1960.
