Waives off immigration tax for 2 years, landing charges and parking fees for 4 years

The Cabinet of Ministers on Monday approved the resolution submitted by Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga for a special relief package targeting international airlines to call at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA), Mattala.

Accordingly, the airport immigration tax has been waived off for two years from the date of the commencement of operations by the international airlines, whilst landing charges and parking fees will be waived for a period of four years.
