Former Eastern Province Governor M.L.M. Hizbullah and former Inspector General of Police N.K. Illangakoon have been summoned to appear before the special Parliamentary Select Committee (PSC) appointed to probe into the 04/21 terror attacks today (June 13).
Public Administration, Home Affairs and Justice Ministry Secretary J.J. Rathnasiri is also due to appear today. The committee will convene at 2 p.m. this afternoon and it will be accessible for the public via media outlets.
The Select Committee to probe into the April 21 attacks is generally chaired by MP Dr. Jayampathy Wickramaratne.MPs Rauff Hakeem, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, Ravi Karunanayake
Dr Rajitha Senaratne, Prof.Ashu Marasinghe, Dr Jayampathy Wickramaratne, M.A Sumanthiran and Dr Nalinda Jayatissa are the other members of the committee. Western province Governor Azath Salley and President of the All Ceylon Jammiathul Ulema (ACJU) Sheikh Mufthi Rizwi testified before the committee at the last session.
