President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is reportedly monitoring the heads of state institutions that have been appointed.
A six member committee was appointed to select suitable heads of 300 state institutions and three suitable persons were recommended to the Presidential Secretariat.
The Chairmen for Corporations, heads appointed to statutory boards and directors of boards come directly under the president’s personal supervision.
The President is said to personally note down the chosen candidate’s eligibility, previous performance and activities and the expected future performance, it is reported.
