Power and Energy Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said today that the Ministry was expecting to revoke the fuel pricing formula in the future.
Speaking to the Daily Mirror he said the Ministry had requested clarifications from the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC) requesting possibilities of revoking the fuel pricing formula.
"We have to discuss the revoking of the fuel pricing formula with the President and the Prime Minister before arriving at a decision," he said.
“Our Government would not do anything that would harm the people,” Minister Amaraweera added.
