The Ministry of Education has presented a cabinet paper calling for the reversal of the decision taken by the Ministry of Finance that the allocation of funds to provide tablet computers (tabs) for A/L students can be done only once in five years.
A committee appointed by the Ministry of Education has recommended that 97000 tabs will be distributed only to students and teachers of all national schools in the first round and the maximum period these tabs can be used is 2 years.
