A landslide warning has been issued for several areas in Kandy, Kegalle and Matale.
The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) issued a Level 1 landslide warning for the three districts last evening.
The warning has been issued for the Udunuwara, Delthota, Gangawata Korale, Yatinuwara,
Thumpane, Ududumbara, Doluwa, Medadumbara and Pathadumbara Divisional Secretariat
Divisions and surrounding areas in the Kandy District.
The warning has also been issued for the Mawanella and Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas in the Kegalle District.
The NBRO also issued the warning for the Ambanganga Korale and Rattota Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas in the Matale District.
A Level 1 warning urges the public to be cautious and watchful of the possibility of landslides, rock falls, and ground subsidence. (Colombo Gazette)
