The Chinese Embassy has requested the Government to give priority to Chinese workers who are engaged in development work in the country when providing the Chinese-made COVID-19 vaccine 'Sinopharm', Primary Healthcare, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control State Minister Sudarshini Fernandopulle said.
She said permission for the relevant handing over of the stock of vaccines has now been granted.
"Still we don't know how many Chinese individuals will get their vaccines first," the Minister said. (Daily Mirror)
