Co-Cabinet Spokesman Minister Ramesh Pathirana has stated that the government does not intend to isolate the country during the upcoming New Year season.
However, the government would only request the public to be self-restrictive when it came to holiday travel.
The minister was speaking during the Cabinet briefing held earlier yesterday (16).
Since the Covid-19 situation has not entirely ebbed away, the public needs to be concerned about their health, he further said.
