The Gazette Extraordinary has been issued over increasing the daily wage of Estate workers to Rs. 1,000.
According to this gazette notification, the minimum daily wage for time work will be Rs. 900 with an inclusion of a budgetary relief allowance of Rs. 100.
The Gazette Extraordinary has been issued by the Secretary to the Ministry of Labor in accordance with the provisions of the Wages Boards Ordinance and states that the above decision is valid with effect from March 05, 2021.
This will be valid for employees of the tea estates and employees of the rubber growing and manufacturing trade.
