President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has instructed to look into whether state and private banks have implemented directives issued by the Central Bank on providing relief to the public during the Covid-19 outbreak.
During yesterday's (10) cabinet meeting, ministers have pointed out that several banks have not implemented the directives issued by the Central Bank.
According to reports, ministers Dinesh Gunawardena, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Dr. Bandula Gunawardena and Wimal Weerawansa have expressed their views at length.
