Thushara Upuldeniya was appointed as the new Commissioner General of Prisons replacing TMJW Jayasiri Tennakoon.
Upuldeniya earlier served as the Prisons Intelligence and Security Division Commissioner.
Tennakoon has been transferred to the Ministry of Public Administration and Home Affairs with immediate effect. (Colombo Gazette)
