Herath and Kodituwakku rewarded for Paralympic success

Tokyo Paralympic Games medal winners Dinesh Priyantha Herath and Samitha Dulan are set to receive a huge cash prize from the Sports Ministry.

World Record holder and gold medal winner of the Javelin F46 event at the Tokyo Paralympics Dinesh Priyantha is to receive Rs. 50 Mn. This is the first gold medal for Sri Lanka in Paralympic history.

Dinesh’s coach Pradeep Nishantha would also receive Rs. 16.5 Mn.

Meanwhile, Bronze medallist at the Tokyo Paralympics for Javelin F64 Samitha Dulan Kodituwakku would be awarded Rs. 20 Mn as well.
