The Epidemiology Unit states that 72.3% of Sri Lankans over the age of 30 have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, while 17% of Sri Lankans over the age of 30 have received both doses of a vaccine.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 100% of Matale’s eligible population has been vaccinated.
Over 90% of the eligible population in the Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, and Mannar Districts have received the first dose of a vaccine, while 29.4% of the eligible population in Colombo, 25.3% of the eligible population in Kalutara, and 23% of the eligible population in Gampaha have received the second dose of the vaccine.
In total, the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to 8,232,194 persons and the second dose to 1,886,930 persons.
Over 500,000 persons were vaccinated on Tuesday, with 338,914 persons receiving the first dose of Sinopharm and 28,054 persons receiving the second dose of Sinopharm. In total, the vaccine has been administered to 6,324,298 persons and second dose to 1,486,542 persons.
On Tuesday, 13,465 persons received the first dose of Moderna, with a total of 709,468 persons having received the first dose of the vaccine.
Meanwhile, the first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 114,105 persons, of which 30 were vaccinated on Tuesday.
The Sputnik V COVID-19 vaccine is also being administered through the country’s COVID-19 immunisation program, and 159,081 persons have received the first dose of the vaccine while 14,503 persons have received the second dose.
In addition to this, 925,242 persons have received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine and 385,885 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
