The Postal Department today said a grace period would be granted to pay traffic fines delayed due to COVID situation.
Postmaster General Ranjith Ariyaratne said the Finance Ministry has approved the grace period for traffic fines issued after April 5.
He said people would be able to pay traffic fines issued during the pandemic situation exceeding 14 days without a surcharge.
He said the grace period would be in effect until further notice.
