The founder of the Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna Basil Rajapaksa is scheduled to return to the country tonight (30), it is reported.
Basil Rajapaksa played a pivotal role in President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa’s victory. However, he left the island and headed to the US at the beginning of December for medical treatment and several other matters.
It is said that Basil Rajapaksa had returned to the country to take up the organizing of the SLPP and the SLFP for the upcoming general election.
