UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake who is embroiled in a scandal involving leaked phone call recording is to make a statement in Parliament today.
Although in remand custody, Ramanayake is allowed to attend sittings and will be brought to Parliament in a Prison Department vehicle.
The MP will seek Speaker Karu Jayasuriya’s permission to make a statement to the House when it meets this afternoon, Daily FT learns.
