The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) assured Muslims in the country and their businesses will be given full security under a Government led by Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
SLPP National Organiser Basil Rajapaksa told a group of Muslims today that false claims are being made that Muslims will not support SLPP Presidential candidate Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Basil Rajapaksa said that Muslims are spread around the country, in every district, even in areas where there are a majority if Sinhalese or Tamils.
He said that the Muslim community contribute immensely to strengthen the local economy.
As a result, he says the Muslim community cannot be sidelined while developing the country.
He said that while there are shortcomings in every Government, nothing can compare to the shortcomings of the current regime.
