Minister Rishad Bathiudeen had said that he would not resign under any circumstance despite the no confidence motion brought against him based on unfounded allegations.
Meanwhile, State Minister Niroshan Perera had told media that he will vote in favour of the NCM against Bathiudeen, adding that several other UNP-MPs are also prepared to support the NCM.
TNA Wanni District MP Charles Nirmalanathan had also told the Ravaya newspaper that he would vote in favour of the NCM against Bathiudeen.
However, he had stated that this was his personal view and not that of the party.
