Former president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga celebrates her 75th birthday today (29).
Several special religious and charity events were held today for her birthday.
Ms. Kumaratunga, who is the fourth and fifth executive president of Sri Lanka, was the first female president of Sri Lanka as well as the leader of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party until the end of 2005.
