Ambassador of Nepal Pays Courtesy Call on Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.

His Excellency Purna Bahadur Nepali, Ambassador of Nepal to Sri Lanka, paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, at the Prime Minister’s Office on June 12.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Amarasuriya welcomed Ambassador Nepali and reaffirmed the value Sri Lanka places on the longstanding and cordial diplomatic relations between the two nations. The discussion focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, with particular attention to matters of mutual concern, including visa-related issues faced by Nepalese nationals residing in Sri Lanka.

Ambassador Nepali expressed his sincere appreciation for the opportunity to engage in a constructive and friendly dialogue with the Prime Minister. He reiterated Nepal’s commitment to further enhancing the bonds of friendship and collaboration between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by senior government officials, including Mr. J.M.I.R.K. Jayasundara, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister (Administration); Ms. Sagarika Bogahawatta, Additional Secretary to the Prime Minister (Development); and Mr. Niluka Kadurugamuwa, Director General of the South Asia and SAARC Division of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism.
