Norwegian Ambassador Thorbjørn Gaustadsæther visited the Southern Province and had talks with officials, including officials at the Hambantota Port.
During his visit he called on Southern Province Governor Rajith Keerthi Tennakoon, the Norwegian Embassy on Colombo said.
The Embassy said that the Ambassador also met Buddhist, Catholic and Islamic religious leaders from the area, and representatives from Women In Need (WIN).
The Ambassador also visited the Hambantota International Port and met the Chief Executive Officer of the Port Ray Ren.
