The UAE Embassy in Colombo has published a new tweet revising its travel advisory to Sri Lanka, this time requesting tourists to exercise caution and stay away from public gatherings while touring the country.
Last week, the embassy on its Twitter handle, urged UAE nationals to avoid travelling to Sri Lanka "except in extreme and compulsory cases".
However, the previous tweet has been removed from the twitter handle.
"There were some issues and it has been sorted out. So it has been revised," a spokesman for the UAE Embassy in Colombo told Times Online, without giving details.
