ශ්‍රී ලංකාව “ගෝලීය වෙළඳාමේ නැගී එන තාරකා” අතරට ශ්‍රී ලංකාව වඩාත් වෙළෙඳ නැඹුරුවක් සහිත ආර්ථිකයක් බවට පත්කිරීමේ රජයේ ප්‍රති තිසංස්කරණ හේතුවෙන් “ජාත්‍යන්තර වෙළෙඳාමේ නැගී එන තරු 20”අතරට මෙරට මෑතදී පිළිගැනීමට ලක්වී ඇති බව සංවර්ධන උපාය මාර්ග හා ජාත්‍යතන්තර වෙළෙඳ අමාත්‍ය මලික් සමරවික්‍රම මහතා පවසයි. ජාත්‍යන්තර බැංකු දැවැන්තයෙකු වන ස්ටෑන්ඩර්ඩ් චාර්ටඩ් බැංකුව විසින් ප්‍රකාශිත ‘වෙළඳාම 20: ගෝලීය වෙළඳාමේ නැගී එන තරු’ නම් වූ වාර්තාවෙහි "වෙළෙඳ වර්ධනය සඳහා වඩාත් වේගයෙන් දියුණු වන විභවයන් ’ඇති රටවල් 20 ක් අතරින් ශ්‍රී ලංකාව මෑතකදී 14 වන ස්ථානයට පත්වී තිබේ."වෙළෙඳ සුදානම "අරභයා ශ්‍රී ලංකාවේ විශිෂ්ටත්වය මෙහිදී හඳුනාගෙන තිබේ. වෙළෙඳ යටිතල පහසුකම් වැඩිදියුණු කිරීම් යටතේ, විශේෂයෙන් ඩිජිටල් යටිතල පහසුකම් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ශක්තිමත් ප්‍රගතියක් අත්කර ගැනීම පිළිගෙන ඇත. වෙළෙඳ වර්ධන විභවතාවයේ වේගවත් වීම සඳහා ධනාත්මක වර්ධනයන් මෑත කාලීනව පෙන්නුම් කරන ආර්ථිකයන් හඳුනාගැනීම වෙනුවෙන් ප්‍රමිතික 12 ක් හරහා ගෝලීය වෙළඳපොළ 66 ක් (ප්‍රධාන ගෝලීය ආර්ථිකයන් සහ එක් එක් කලාපයේ ප්‍රධාන ආර්ථිකයන්) මෙම වාර්තාව මගින් විමර්ශනය කරයි.
