Schools in the Eastern Province that were closed for the cyclone will be reopened today except the schools in four education zones in the Kalmunai Divisional Health Services Director's Division.
The decision to reopen schools in the Kalmunai, Akkaraipattu, Thirikkovil and Samanthurai education zones in the Kalmunai Health Services Director's area will be made today on the recommendation of Governor Anuradha Yahampath, Provincial Education Secretary A.E.I Muthubanda said.
The Education Provincial Secretary said that the Provincial Education Director has been instructed to reopen the schools where residents stayed to protect from the cyclone ‘Bruvei’.
