Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva has instructed the public to reduce their visits to Colombo during the impending days due to the increased risk of Covid-19.
He pointed out that the public should not come to Colombo except for an urgent matter.
The curfew imposed on the Western Province was lifted at 5 a.m. yesterday (9). However, the Army Commander said that even travel between districts should be avoided further, as it is difficult to control the spread of the virus just by imposing a curfew. Therefore, he urged the public to co-operate and adhere to the health guidelines.
