The Examinations Department requested all those who are applying for examination certificates not to visit the Department and to use the online services instead.
Commissioner General of Examinations, Sanath B. Pujitha, said the examination certificates can be requested and obtained through the online system.
The decision has been taken as a COVID-19 preventive measure following the recent increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the country.
Therefore, the public was advised not to visit the Department to obtain examination certificates.
“Earlier, applicants had to visit the Examinations Department from various areas. The issuance of certificates became a time-consuming process due to a large number of people arrived at the Department,” he said.
He requested all applicants to visit the updated official website https://doenets.lk/ to obtain their certificates within 24 hours.
Moreover, the Commissioner-General said, based on this new system, facilities were provided for the applicants who are currently abroad to obtain their certificates within a minimum of 48-hours.
