A mobile app to ease public transportation was launched at the National Transport Commission (NTC) today (07).
The app - ‘MyBus-SL’ was launched by Minister of Transport Management Mahinda Amaraweera, in the presence of Secretary to the Ministry of Transport Management Gamini Seneviratne and the Chairman of the NTC Sashi Welgama.
The “MyBus- SL’ application offers a number of services, such as the bus time table, the current location of the selected bus, bus fare for the journey, card payments and related complaints.
Details of buses plying inter- province have been included in the application as the first phase of the project, while details of Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) and other buses are to be included in the future.
Noting that no state funds were utilised to develop the app, the minister commended the IT Department of the NTC for developing the app.
