Rishiyudhan has stunned the world with his bowling proficiency where he can bowl six types of deliveries in one over namely, off spin, leg spin, carrom ball, loop, flat loop and quick ball.
Hindu College Colombo in their Facebook page congratulated Rishiyudhan on his brilliant performance.
“Outstanding performance, Congratulations to Master Selvasekaran Rishiyudhan for a remarkable bowling spell: 9.4 overs, 9 maidens, 0 runs, and a stunning 8 wickets. Hindu College Colombo dominated, bowling out the opposition for just 28 runs and securing victory in the 1st innings of the inter-school cricket Under 13 Division II encounter.”
Rishiyudhan has admitted that he has been inspired by watching Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon whom he wishes to emulate. His ambition is to play for Sri Lanka at the age of 19.
Sri Lanka has produced some of the best spinners in the world – none other than off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan who is the leading wicket-taker in Test and ODI cricket and Rangana Herath, the most successful left-arm spinner in the world.
