Homagama Base Hospital to treat Covid-19 patients

Director-General of Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said that the Homagama Base Hospital will also serve as a treatment facility for Covid-19 patients from yesterday (29).

Until now, the hospital has only provided treatment to those suspected of having the virus.

Speaking at the National Operations Centre for Preventing Covid-19, Dr. Jasinghe noted that all Covid-19 patients are currently being treated at the IDH, Welikanda Hospital, Colombo East Base Hospital, Iranavila Hospital, Kaththankudy Hospital, Minuwangoda Hospital, and the Welisara Navy Hospital.

48 drug addicts ordered to self-quarantine

Meanwhile, DIG Ajith Rohana said that a a raid carried out in the Welikada Police Jurisdiction on Monday resulted in the detection of 48 drug addicts and they were ordered to self-quarantine following a medical observation.
