Job Opportunity: Senior Consultant & Junior Consultants
Location: Parliament of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte.

The Committee on Public Finance (CoPF) of the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, invites applications from qualified Sri Lankan citizens for the following vacancies:
Senior Consultant (1 Position)
Salary & Benefits:
• Monthly salary: Rs. 120,000/-
• Transport allowance: Rs. 50,000/-
• Fuel provisions as per government circulars
Age Limit: Not more than 65 years as of the closing date
Scope of Work:
• Provide expert advice on matters referred to CoPF by Parliament
• Prepare detailed reports and briefs highlighting key findings and recommendations
• Assess fiscal, financial, and economic assumptions in Budget reports
• Develop economic forecasts, revenue/expenditure/debt estimates, and structural deficit projections
• Supervise Junior Consultants and guide report preparation
• Contribute to interim reports and submissions to Parliament
• Assist with CoPF activities such as seminars and roundtables
Qualifications:
• MSc in Economics, Public Finance Management, Public Policy, Public Administration, or a related field (PhD/MPhil is an advantage)
• Strong research, analytical, and communication skills
• Proficiency in English and Sinhala; knowledge of Tamil is an advantage
• Prior experience with Parliamentary Committees or legislative bodies is a plus
• Experience in government institutions and international development organizations is an added advantage

Junior Consultant (3 Positions)
Salary & Benefits:
• Monthly salary: Rs. 88,000/-
• Transport allowance: Rs. 50,000/-
• Fuel provisions as per government circulars
Age Limit: Not more than 45 years as of the closing date
Scope of Work:
• Collect and synthesize information from think tanks and economic research sources
• Prepare reports, briefing notes, and background materials on economic issues
• Analyze economic assumptions and risks related to CoPF work
• Provide input on budgetary projections and policy recommendations
• Support the Senior Consultant and prepare session summaries in English and Sinhala
Qualifications:
• Degree with a Class in Economics, Public Finance Management, Public Policy, or a related field (Postgraduate Diploma is an added qualification)
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience
• Strong skills in economic research, fiscal monitoring, and report writing
• Excellent presentation and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of English and Sinhala/Tamil
• Prior experience with Parliamentary Committees is an advantage
