Indian government has stepped into offer under graduate , post graduate and research/ PHD scholarships for Sri Lanka's eligible students for studying in India.
The High Commission of India, Colombo invites applications for the following ICCR scholarships for 2020-2021 academic sessions: and students will beselected for NehruMemorial Scholarship Scheme which covers all Undergraduate courses (except Medical/Paramedical& Fashion Design course)including Engineering, Science, Business, Economics, Commerce, Humanities andArts.
MaulanaAzad Scholarship Scheme will offer Masters Degrees courses (exceptMedical/Paramedical& Fashion Design course) including Engineering, Science,Economics, Commerce, Humanities and Arts. However, preference would be given to the fields of Engineering, Science and Agriculture.
Students selected for RajivGandhi Scholarship Scheme are eligible to apply for Undergraduate courses in the field of ‘Information Technology’ leading to a B.E or B.Tech Degree.

CommonwealthScholarship Scheme:will offer PhD Degrees in all subjects except Medical/ Paramedical& Fashion Design course.
The Government of India selects meritorious Sri Lankan nationals for award of these scholarships. Selection of candidates is done in consultation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Government of Sri Lanka, to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD Degrees in some of the top most universities in India.

The last date for submission of applications for Undergraduate/Postgraduate & PhD courses at Ministry of City Planning Water supply & Higher Education is December 16, 2019.
